Holiday Inn Barking : Operator Selection

Holiday Inn logo A client had approached GVA RGA when they were considering purchasing a possible hotel site in Barking, North London. We had produced a feasibility study with an assessment as to the strength of the site, preferred positioning and branding and projected trading performance for a 187 bedroom hotel. The study findings were positive and we made recommendations as to market positioning and some brands that would best fit the market opportunity.

After acquiring the site the clients returned to GVA RGA and asked us assist them through the next stages brand and operator selection and negotiations. This included looking at lease or management contract options. We obtained expressions of interest, analysed the responses and made recommendations, organised site visits, assisted the client to select the preferred brand and gave assistance on Heads of Terms negotiations. The brand chosen is the new-concept Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn will also operate the hotel.
