Pragelato, Turin : Operator Selection

Pragelato alpine village GVA RGA have recently been involved with a very exciting project in the Italian Alps, just outside Turin. Pragelato Village was built for the 2006 Winter Olympics and was host to the cross-country skiing, ski jumping and the Nordic-combined events.

Originally designed for Kempinski it has now changed hands and GVA RGA’s Max Gaunt was involved with assisting the new owners with the operator selection and lease negotiations with one of Italy’s leading hotel groups. The extensive complex has 205 chalet-apartments, a five-star hotel, spa and wellness centre, restaurants and a cinema.
The Village is set between two national parks and has direct ski links to the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski area with over 440 km of pistes. Although primarily a winter resort in the summer it appeals to hikers and mountain bike fanatics, not to mention Europe’s
